Self-service poster printing
(Students, faculty, and staff)
All students, faculty, and staff can utilize this resource to create high-quality posters for a variety of academic projects including research symposiums, presentations, and programs. Here’s what to know:
Visit our Campus Computer Lab on the first floor of Paul Robeson Library to access our self-service poster printers. Help Desk Consultants are available during library hours to help with sizing and printing your job. Recommended poster templates are shown below.
Timing: Allot at least 45 minutes to print. Posters typically take around 10 to 15 minutes to print. However, it’s important to allow enough time to prepare your job for printing.
Costs: Self-service poster printing is charged to your semi-annual printing quota. All students, faculty, and staff have a print quota assigned to them twice annually. Posters are charged at $1.50 per square foot and no refunds are given once a print job has started. Additional funds can be added to your quota via the RU EXPRESS website.
For more information on printing at Rutgers please read our Printing overview for Students, Faculty and Staff.
Department-funded poster printing
(Faculty and staff)
If you’re funding a print job through your departmental budget, please review the following important details and instructions.
Submit a request through our online request form.
Timing: Posters require a minimum of two business days to print. In times of peak usage, there may be additional delays due to the time it takes for the poster printer to operate. Please make sure to submit your request as early as possible to avoid delivery delays. RU–Camden IT will email you when the poster is ready.
Poster dimensions: When submitting your poster request, it is important that you upload a file that is already the appropriate dimensions for your request. We recommend that you use the poster templates below to design your file.
Costs: Posters are charged at $1.50 per square foot and will be billed directly to the account code provided in the request form.
Pick-up location: All posters may be picked up in the main lobby of the Camden Administrative Building (CAB) at 25 N 5th St.
Poster templates
Pre-formatted templates are available in two commonly-used poster sizes to help students design their posters. Once the design work is completed, the template should be saved as a PDF (see Microsoft’s instructions on saving documents as PDF files).
