Rutgers is committed to establishing and maintaining a safe, secure computing environment that supports its missions of teaching, learning and service to the state. To that end, the university has set policies to ensure the integrity of its infrastructure, the security of its data, and the efficient and ethical use of its resources. All members of the university community are responsible for adhering to these policies and guidelines. In addition to these universitywide policies, there may be supplemental policies for specific areas; users should check with their respective department administrators.

Information Technology Policies

The University Policy Library is the official source for Rutgers policies. These include policies related to the acceptable use of IT resources, information classification, incident management, information security, email and calendar use, and other issues.
