Sponsored project collaboration

OARC partners with university researchers to accelerate and enable sponsored projects with both technological resources and research expertise, as well as pursuing awards for equipment that benefit the entire university.

Work with OARC to power your sponsored projects

Pre-award planning

Come to OARC for pre-award expertise on how research computing can accelerate your funded project, proposal writing support, budget input and quotes for dedicated hardware or services, and boilerplate language for Facilities, Equipment and Resources.

Funded project enablement

OARC’s team of Senior Research Scientists can be embedded in your funded project to provide expertise, perform research, and collaborate on awarded-project outcomes. Team members include experts in biochemistry, bioengineering, chemistry, data science, genomics, GIS, machine learning, mathematics, mechanical engineering, microbiology, physics, visualization, and more.

Dedicated hardware for researchers

Ask OARC for help designing your grant budget to include dedicated Amarel compute nodes and storage (capital equipment that does not incur F&A), CRDW and other analytic services, and research support effort (paid or unpaid).

University-wide hardware

OARC actively leads equipment grants to increase resources for the benefit of the entire university. Past awards have increased the university research network, increased the Amarel cluster size and capability for all Rutgers researchers, enabled the purchase of Research Data Storage and Amarel PE (Protected Environment) systems.
