MIARC services
The Medical Informatics and Advanced Research Computing (MIARC) Research Team specializes in Medical Informatics and Health AI. The team develops state-of-the-art machine learning (ML), generative AI, and agentic AI models using electronic health records (EHRs), medical imaging, claims data, and other healthcare datasets to support healthcare innovation. MIARC also provides education in Medical Informatics and Health AI, equipping faculty, researchers, clinicians, and students with the knowledge and skills needed to design, develop, and evaluate advanced AI-driven healthcare solutions and prepare competitive research projects.

Certificate program for Rutgers Health students
Designed for students who are already professionally engaged in health care or public health and want to improve their technical skills, the certificate in Clinical Informatics and Data Science will be granted upon the completion of a digital three badge sequence in the process and methods of machine learning as used in clinical research and reporting. This program is offered by the New Jersey Alliance for Clinical and Translational Science at no cost to students.
