Artificial Intelligence is rapidly changing the way we work, learn, communicate, and solve problems. But beyond the headlines and hype, what AI tools are actually available to members of the Rutgers community right now—and how can you put them to practical use?

Join Ken Morris, User Support Specialist with Rutgers University–Camden Information Technology, for a hands-on educational lecture series that begins with a concise overview of modern AI concepts and quickly pivots to the tools, resources, and opportunities available at Rutgers.

Rather than focusing solely on theory, this series emphasizes real-world applications that help faculty and staff become more productive, informed, and confident in their use of AI technologies.

    In this series, you’ll explore:

    1. A practical introduction to Artificial Intelligence and generative AI
    2. What AI can and cannot do
    3. AI tools and services available to the Rutgers community
    4. Using AI to improve productivity, communication, research, and learning
    5. Effective prompting techniques that produce better results
    6. Responsible and ethical AI use in higher education
    7. Demonstrations of real-world workflows using Rutgers-supported technologies

    Who should attend?
    This series is designed for:

    1. Faculty interested in emerging educational technologies
    2. Staff seeking productivity and efficiency improvements
    3. Anyone curious about how AI can support their work at Rutgers

    What makes this series different?
Many AI presentations focus on broad concepts and industry trends. While we will provide a foundational understanding of AI, our primary focus will be on what you can use today as a member of the Rutgers community. Participants will leave with practical knowledge, actionable skills, and a clearer understanding of the Rutgers-supported AI resources available to them.

Whether you’re completely new to AI or already experimenting with it, this series will help you move from understanding AI to using AI effectively at Rutgers.
