Enterprise Application Services
Enterprise Application Services (EAS) develops and supports a broad range of enterprise applications at Rutgers, including Canvas, DocuSign, the myRutgers portal, Rutgers Connect, ScarletApps, Sites@Rutgers, and many others. The systems developed and supported include those for student information, human resources, payroll, NetIDs, and scores of others.

Academic Technologies
This area manages various academic technologies at Rutgers, including Canvas, other third-party teaching and learning tools, and student success management for advising and academic performance.
Administrative Systems
The Administrative Systems unit is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing enterprise business applications at Rutgers. The portfolio of applications includes Oracle Financial Cloud, PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM), Enterprise Performance Management, Salesforce, Jaggaer, and others.
Data Management and Analytics
This team manages and supports the databases underlying essential enterprise software and systems at Rutgers, such as myRutgers, NetIDs, email services, and various systems for learning management, human resources, payroll, admissions, and scores of other areas. The team also provides business intelligence services using Tableau, Oracle Analytics, Rutgers’ enterprise data warehouse, and other systems.
Enterprise Customer Relationship Management
This area handles various public-facing and internal enrollment-related applications. These include the undergraduate and graduate admission applications, the school-to-school transfer application, the re-enrollment application, and other systems.
Enterprise Document Services and Banner
This area’s services include DocuSign (secure electronic signature tool), Perceptive Content (enterprise content management and workflow suite), and the Banner Student information System used by Rutgers Health schools.
Identity and Access Management
The Identity and Access Management group manages the life cycle of digital identities for Rutgers and the secure online access to Rutgers services and data. The group’s services include NetID, CommunityID, two-step login with Duo, Person Registry (for managing users’ IDs at Rutgers), the Central Authentication Service (for single sign-on of university systems), Shibboleth (federated identities), LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol), RAD (enterprise Rutgers Active Directory), Kerberos (password repository), and Grouper (enterprise group management).
Messaging and Collaboration Services (MaCS)
The MaCS team is responsible for ScarletApps, Rutgers Connect, email distribution services, the emergency notification system (ENS), anti-spam/virus/phish handling, the go.rutgers.edu URL shortener, and the ServiceNow platform (for OneSource and other systems). The team also handles OPRA (Open Public Records Act) requests and e-discovery, email archiving, and deprovisioning, audits, and data recovery.
Office of IT Accessibility
The Office of IT Accessibility provides training, resources, and services to assist Rutgers community members in ensuring that IT systems, applications, sites, and digital content are accessible to all.
Project Management Office
The Project Management Office (PMO) provides project management of enterprise-wide IT initiatives in support of the Rutgers community.
myRutgers
The myRutgers team develops and supports the myRutgers portal, a suite of self-service information and resources for the university community. Access to myRutgers is available from the desktop or the mobile app.
Student Information Management Systems
This team is responsible for key applications supporting students and faculty at Rutgers, including WebReg, Degree Navigator, Oracle Student Financial Planning, student records, course scheduling, class rosters and grading, transcripts, degree audits, terms bills, and others.
Web Consulting Services
Web Consulting Services (WCS) provides web development services for the Rutgers community, including the Sites@Rutgers website-builder, RCCL-based Drupal and WordPress CMS, and scores of custom Rutgers web applications and websites (including this one).

Vice President, Office of Information Technology
As Vice President, Ellen provides executive leadership and oversight for university-wide Enterprise Applications and Advanced Research Computing at Rutgers, partnering with academic, research and administrative units to further the university’s mission of excellence in research, teaching and outreach. The enterprise software that she oversees assists with ensuring the work of the university is executed in a strategic, secure, and cost-effective manner.
