Email distribution

A mass-mailing service including targeted email lists to communicate official university business to the Rutgers community.

Used to manage email subscription lists and generate new mailing lists. Recommended for university-affiliated ad hoc mailing lists.

Documentation is available for departmental IT staff intending to use bulk email services from a third-party vendor.

Also known as distribution lists, distribution groups are organized by users who share common work that requires them to email frequently. Requires a Rutgers Connect account.

Not to be confused with distribution groups, Microsoft 365 Groups include collaboration services such as SharePoint and Planner in addition to a common email address.
