Clinical Working Group
Clinical Working Group
The Clinical Working Group is tasked with providing guidance and recommendations on the development, implementation, and governance of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies within the academic healthcare organization. This subgroup is essential for deeper focus on clinical and medical affairs, where the highest standards of security and precision are critical for safeguarding health and privacy. To achieve this mission, the group will foster community engagement, shared governance, and supportive processes to effectively integrate AI technology across the university’s healthcare pillar. By thoughtfully addressing organizational needs and assessing AI applications, the group will collaboratively develop a robust framework and strategic map for acquiring and utilizing AI, supported by informative guidelines and stringent safety and security standards. This working group will coordinate with the other four working groups and with the RWJBarnabas Health-Rutgers Health AI Center of Excellence to ensure efficient communication and a broader understanding of AI initiatives within the university community. This comprehensive, coordinated effort ensures AI in healthcare safely and ethically fosters innovation, maintaining the highest standards of precision and protection for our patients and community.
