Deputy CIO Frank Reda, who currently leads the Information Security Office, has been selected to serve as Rutgers’ Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
“Frank brings a thoughtful, collaborative approach to this work and has built strong partnerships across the university,” said Michele Norin, senior vice president and CIO. “His leadership will be critical as we continue to strengthen Rutgers’ security posture and support our academic, research, and administrative missions.”
As Deputy CIO, Frank plays a key leadership role at Rutgers, shaping enterprise IT strategy with a strong focus on cybersecurity, risk management, and institutional resilience.
During his time at Rutgers, Frank has led several significant cybersecurity initiatives, including partnering with Stratascale to conduct a comprehensive cybersecurity maturity assessment for the university. Frank has played a central role in guiding Rutgers’ response to major cybersecurity incidents.
“Frank’s leadership will be critical as we continue to strengthen Rutgers’ security posture,” said CIO Norin. “I look forward to the continued progress we’ll make under Frank’s leadership.”
