Purchasing review

All electronic and information technology (EIT) systems, applications, software, and services used by Rutgers University are required to be assessed for accessibility. The OITA will use the information to assess the accessibility risks and provide recommendations.

This policy establishes standards for the accessibility and usability of web-based information and services to ensure compliance with applicable local, state and federal regulations and laws.

IT accessibility purchasing process

Purchasers must submit an "accessibility purchasing form" for any item with the commodity code "IT Software." Learn more about the purchasing process and what actions will be taken if there is a high exposure level.
