The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is Rutgers’ enterprise IT office. OIT provides universitywide services and support and collaborates with department and unit IT professionals on projects and initiatives for the Rutgers community.

Divisions
The Office of Information Technology is divided into these divisions serving the university community. Meet the Executive Leadership Team.
Advanced Research Computing
The Office of Advanced Research Computing (OARC) provides strategic leadership in advancing research through next-generation computing, data science, networking, and creative learning environments. OARC collaborates with the university’s IT professionals, the Office for Research, and the academic and research communities, both internal and external.
Enterprise Application Services
Enterprise Application Services (EAS) develops and supports enterprise application software at Rutgers, including Cornerstone, the myRutgers portal, NetID, Rutgers Connect, and ScarletMail. EAS units include Administrative Systems, Banner Administrative Services, Identity Management, Messaging and Collaboration Services, Middleware Application and Data Management Services, the Project Management Office, and Student Systems and Application Consulting.
Enterprise Infrastructure
Enterprise Infrastructure (EI) offers a wide range of IT expertise and services to operate and support the university’s network and computing infrastructures. Key areas of responsibility include data centers at various Rutgers locations, firewalls, hosting services, the Rutgers network, the Rutgers Virtual Private Network, Rutgers Active Directory, RUWireless, voice services, Webex videoconferencing, and more.
Enterprise Service Delivery
The Enterprise Service Delivery division directs and manages IT support and service for the university. Key areas include the OIT Help Desk, OIT Computer Labs, Rutgers IT Computer Standards, Enterprise Device Management, the IT Accessibility Initiative, the University Software Portal, Rutgers University–Camden Information Technology, OIT–Newark Information Technology, Rutgers Service Management, and more.
Health Sciences IT
Health Sciences IT takes key steps to standardize and improve security, develop policies and procedures, and deliver efficient, reliable services to the health sciences community at Rutgers, working with various units within Rutgers Health, the health care education, research, and clinical division of the university.
Information Security Office
The Information Security Office establishes and manages policies, monitors compliance, and manages a comprehensive education and awareness program for IT risk and information security. Key areas of responsibility include IT policies and security.
OIT Finance and Administration
The OIT Finance and Administration division manages the Office of Information Technology budget and handles a variety of other areas, including billing, facilities, and OIT human resources.
