The 2024 year-end report from the Office of Advanced Research Computing (OARC) highlights a year of significant growth and increased impact on research across Rutgers.   • Amarel’s reach: Over 6,000 users, spanning faculty, staff, students, alumni, and collaborators, are now harnessing Amarel’s power.
  • Fueling research dollars: OARC has contributed resources to projects totaling over $130 million in funded sponsored research, with nearly 800 proposals citing the need for OARC resources.
  • Team expansion: OARC welcomed new permanent and temporary staff, including specialized experts to support the CRDW and REDCap initiatives, as well as student researchers.
  • Key milestones: Rutgers secured a $39 million NJACTS grant renewal, with OARC team members playing critical roles, and the CRDW was launched, streamlining data management and analysis for clinical research.
  • In the spotlight: OARC resources were featured in articles on genomics, astronomy, and campaign finance, and a new microcredential in Clinical Informatics and Data Science was launched.

Through workshops, presentations, and active participation in Rutgers initiatives, OARC has worked to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing across the university.
