Help Desk providing tech support to students during Camden move-in and Welcome Week 2024

Lights, camera, action: The fall semester is just around the corner and move-in days are quickly approaching. Moving into a dorm room for the first time can be overwhelming, but connecting your tech is nothing to be worried about with the help of the Help Desk! If you are a student and need support while moving into your dorm room, RU–Camden IT Help Desk staff will be available during the upcoming move-in days on Thursday, August 29, and Friday, August 30, between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. in the Computer Lab in the Paul Robeson Library.

“We know how busy students are at the start of the fall semester, especially if it’s your first year, and so much of that relies on technology and access to online services,” says Lisa Saal, assistant director of RU–Camden IT. “We want to make sure students know how to get the help they need in those first days of the semester, as well as access to all the services offered by RU–Camden IT to support learning, research, and the overall campus experience.”

You can also find the RU–Camden IT Help Desk table at the Welcome Week 2024 Involvement & Resource Fair on Thursday, September 5 between 12:45 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. at the campus quad. Learn all about IT services available to students and get answers to any tech questions, including setting up your NetID, connecting to Scarletmail, and getting everything in your dorm hooked up to Wi-Fi.

If you happen to miss talking to an IT staff member during move-in days or Welcome Week, feel free to reach out to the Camden IT Help Desk at 856-225-6274 or help@camden.rutgers.edu for more technical support. For additional information on IT services and support available for Camden students, please visit the RU–Camden IT website.
