Starting your Rutgers IT subsite

Overview

Once your request for a site is confirmed by IT Communications, a shell of your site will be created with the appropriate title in the banner. IT Communications will assist with the steps needed to plan and develop content that will be installed into the site. This process includes:

  • Defining the branding message for the site
  • Defining site organization
  • Auditing existing content that will be migrated

After this planning phase is complete, you can create and install content into the site.

Content development

A new site is typically comprised of 1) Pages, 2) Knowledge base articles, and 3) FAQ’s.

Site launch

After your content is installed and reviewed, a link to the new site will be added as a subsite on the main Rutgers IT website.
