Explore Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat

July 16: 1 – 2 p.m.

Microsoft’s virtual training will show you how to use AI tools across Microsoft 365 apps, including Teams, Outlook and Word. Grow your AI skills by using Copilot chat to generate content, summarize information, and develop new ideas.

Articulate 360 Accessibility training

July 17: 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.

Join the Office of IT Accessibility as it explores one of the e-learning platforms available at Rutgers. This course will cover how to use the Articulate 360 e-learning platform, including its Articulate Storyline and Articulate Reach 360 features, to create courses that are accessible for all students.

REDCap Project Migration

July 22: 1 – 2 p.m.

During this REDCap Migration workshop, the Office of Advanced Research Computing will demonstrate the self-service processes for moving REDCap projects from one instance to another. The demonstration will be followed by a question/answer period and sharing of resources. Attendance is limited to 40 participants.

Word Document Accessibility

July 23: 1 – 2 p.m.

Learn how to make your Word documents accessible by designing your content with intent. Learn how users with disabilities navigate and interact with Word documents, and tackle common issues such as a lack of heading structure, color contrast problems, images without alt text, and more.

Intro to Amarel HPC Cluster

July 23: 1 – 2:30 p.m.

This short course, hosted by the Office of Advanced Research Computing, helps everyone make those first few steps toward productively using a Linux cluster for research — all members of the Rutgers community have free access to the Amarel cluster. The workshop covers the basics of HPC cluster, Web access to the cluster, SLURM, file system and storage, and setting up environment for the software stacks. To attend this workshop, you must:

  • Have an Amarel account set up before the workshop
  • Be connected to the Rutgers network through an on-campus connection or VPN
  • Have an SSH client, like PuTTY or MobaXterm, installed.

    Aug. 4: 2 – 3 p.m.

    PDFs are widely recognized, used around the world, and are often considered a standard for presenting electronic versions of text. PDFs are also very rigid, which can make them tricky to navigate for users with disabilities. Learn about common problems with inaccessible PDFs, how to fix them, and the finer points of making PDFs accessible.
