New minimum operating systems for Duo Mobile

Duo Mobile will no longer provide updates or troubleshooting for devices running iOS 16 and Android 11 or older, effective April 16. Users with these older operating systems will still be able to use Verified Duo Push and Duo passcodes, if Duo is already installed on their devices. To ensure that users have the most, secure, up-to-date versions of Duo, we recommend that users upgrade to the latest mobile OS.

 

Here are the key changes:

  • Duo teams will no longer troubleshoot issues on older operating systems, including iOS 16 or Android 11.
  • Verified Duo Push and Duo passcodes will continue to work on devices running iOS 16 or Android 11 that already have Duo mobile installed.
  • Mobile devices using iOS 16 or Android 11 will no longer receive Duo Mobile maintenance fixes or security updates.
  • Mobile devices using iOS 16 or Android 11 will not be able to upgrade to the latest Duo app version.
