Zoom client upgrade on Thursday, August 12

On Thursday, August 12 at 10:00 p.m., Rutgers will be upgrading to the latest client version of Zoom. This update includes the following changes:

  • Local Recording support for Immersive View
  • Focus mode, which enables the Zoom host and co-hosts to view all participants’ videos without other participants seeing one other.
  • Mute and video off when joining a recorded/live streamed Zoom meeting
  • Security updates
Following the upgrade on August 12, users who are not currently running the latest client version will experience a short pause (1-2 minutes) to install the new version of Zoom before joining their next meeting.
