Zoom passcodes now required for your personal meeting room

Notification

August 11, 2020 11:52 am
In order to improve and enhance security for Rutgers Zoom accounts, Personal Meeting ID passcodes are now required for all Rutgers Zoom personal meeting rooms.

Please note all meeting invites already include an embedded password. Moving forward, if you are inviting people to meet in your personal Zoom room, you will need to inform those people of your password.

Currently, all Personal Meeting ID passcodes are randomly generated by default. In order to change your passcode, visit your Zoom settings and choose edit your passcode under the “Require a passcode for Personal Meeting ID” section.

If you have any questions about your Zoom account, please contact the Office of Information Technology Help Desk.

If you are experiencing any issues not listed here, please contact the OIT Help Desk at 848-445-HELP (4357) or send a message to help@oit.rutgers.edu.
