Microsoft has indicated that the fix may take some time to work its way through its systems, but “users should experience incremental relief as the fix progresses.” Microsoft is monitoring the situation to ensure this resolves the issues.

Microsoft’s initial attempt to fix the issues with Outlook on the web “did not recover the service as expected,” according to the company. Microsoft is now reviewing other mitigation options to resolve the issue. Users should be able to connect to Outlook (Rutgers Connect) email and calendars via mobile apps or the Outlook desktop application.

Microsoft has identified a configuration issue as the likely source of the issues with Outlook on the web. Microsoft is testing a fix for this issue and will begin to implement this fix once they confirm it works. OIT will post additional details as they become available.
