Virtual Private Network (VPN)

Rutgers VPN provides faculty, staff, and students with remote access to services secured by the Rutgers network.

Register through the self-service portal.

Overview

Remote access VPN allows remote computers to behave as though they are directly attached to the campus network infrastructure. While connected, resources only available to computers directly connected to the campus network are accessible.

General instructions

Rutgers VPN uses the Cisco Secure Client (formerly Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Application). Learn how to get started below, if you are already registered.
