Zoom client upgrade on Thursday, January 13

On Thursday, January 13 at 10 p.m., Rutgers will be updating to the latest client version of Zoom. This update includes the following changes:

  • Save custom gallery view order
  • Schedule meetings with Focus mode
  • Improved and expanded emoji support
  • Security enhancements

Additionally, concurrent with this Zoom update, we will be enabling the Zoom “Meeting Post Attendee URL” feature, which means users’ current Zoom launch page will forward to the Rutgers Zoom website 5 minutes after the meeting has been launched. This will allow our Zoom community to access timely and pertinent information regarding this service while it’s in use.

Following the update on January 13, users who are not currently running the latest client version will experience a short pause (1-2 minutes) to install the new version of Zoom before joining their next meeting.
