New year, new trainings. The Office of IT Accessibility (OITA) is offering several training opportunities throughout the spring semester that are available to all students, staff, and faculty. These resources aim to improve the accessibility of websites, online instruction, and other digital materials.
Webinars and trainings
The spring training schedule includes foundational workshops that can help get you started with the basics in IT accessibility. Trainings include:
- Content accessibility 101
January 15 – 10-11:30 a.m.
- Introduction to accessibility
February 3 – 2-3:30 p.m.
- Web accessibility 101
February 10 – 10-11:30 a.m.
April 15 – 2-3:30 p.m.
- Web accessibility 102
February 18 – 2-3:30 p.m.
April 21 – 10-11:30 p.m.

Self-paced training
The Rutgers community also has free access to Deque University, a collection of online training courses in accessibility. There is no longer a limit on how many slots Rutgers has available for use. To request access, fill out the Deque University signup form.
