The issues with various Rutgers IT services due to this morning’s power outage at a Rutgers data center have been resolved. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your local Office of Information Technology Help Desk.

The majority of Rutgers IT services have been restored after this morning’s power outage. OIT will continue to monitor and provide updates, including when the issue has been resolved.

Rutgers.edu and VPN have been restored. OIT will continue to monitor and provide any significant updates as they become available.

OIT has identified the issues affecting the data center outage and is implementing a fix. OIT expects that affected systems will become available again over the next few hours. We will provide updates as soon as possible.

OIT staff are working to restore services made unavailable due to today’s outage. RUWireless has largely been restored. We will provide additional updates as they become available.

OIT teams continue to investigate the issues affecting Rutgers IT services. The affected services include, but are not limited to: Rutgers.edu, myRutgers, RUWireless, the payroll and absences system, printing, student systems (WebReg, Schedule of Classes, Financial Aid, and others), and more. OIT teams are actively seeking a fix for these issues and will continue to provide additional updates.

OIT teams continue to investigate the scope of services affected by the power outage. Please note additional services, such as Rutgers.edu, myRutgers, the payroll and absences system, the Clinical Research Data Warehouse, and others, are also unavailable. The Office of Information Technology will provide additional updates as soon as possible.

Power issues at a Rutgers data center have impacted certain Rutgers services, including VPN, RUWireless, and some student systems (WebReg, Schedule of Classes, Financial Aid, and others). The Office of Information Technology is investigating the issue and will post updates as they become available.
