Changes to printing require some to reconnect their device on July 18

Notification

July 14, 2022 4:01 pm

Due to an upgrade to PaperCut, Rutgers’ system for printing at computer labs and elsewhere, printers added to devices like laptops, smartphones, and tablets prior to January 27 will stop connecting to those devices on Monday, July 18. To continue using a printer that is no longer connecting, users will need to uninstall it from their device and reinstall it.

  1. To identify and remove printers added to a device prior to January 27, follow these instructions.
  2. Then, to reinstall a printer on a device (or install a new printer), follow these instructions.

The upgrade, which was first initiated in January, increases mobile printing reliability, reduces the complexity of solving problems that do arise, and streamlines the introduction of new capabilities in the future. For any questions, please contact the Office of Information Technology Help Desk. For more information on printing at Rutgers, visit the print management website.
