Stay organized this semester with the help of ScarletApps and Adobe

As a student, you tend to have to juggle a lot; between classes, work, and extracurricular activities, staying organized can be difficult. Instead of typing “how to stay organized” into Google and falling down another internet rabbit hole, try some of the useful apps and tools you have access to as a Rutgers student to make your academic life a lot easier.

ScarletApps
The ScarletApps suite provides access to the core Google applications, including Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar, and Sites. The following Google tools are designed to help you stay on track in and out of the classroom:

Google Calendar
Scheduling meetings or events and setting reminders for assignments or activities is easier than ever with Google Calendar. Google Calendar makes it simple for you to share your schedule with others, whether you need to coordinate calendars with your classmates or members of your student-run organizations.

Google Tasks
Google Tasks helps you manage important to-do lists, which you can also sync across all your devices. With Google Tasks, you can add details to your tasks and create subtasks, create tasks from your Gmail and Google Calendar applications, and stay on track by using due dates and notifications.

Adobe Express
Adobe Express is a part of the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite available to Rutgers students. It’s a great tool for creating digital art and animation, editing PDF files or photos, and staying organized with the use of their free templates. Adobe Express has over 50,000 templates to choose from that are designed to help you stay organized. Some examples include:

Monthly/weekly planners and calendars
Stay on top of all your assignments, extracurricular activities, work shifts, and anything else you have on your plate with planners and calendars that fit your lifestyle and aesthetic.

Class schedules
Revamp your course schedule to match your style! Design your class schedule each semester. Print it out at one of the Office of Information Technology computer labs and hang it on your door, fridge, above your desk, or even as your phone background so you always know what class you’re heading to next and what assignments or materials to take with you.

To-do lists
To-do lists are a classic, simple, and straightforward way to stay organized and successful. Use designed templates that match your style and list out all your tasks, and even sort them by due date so you are never behind on your work.

Chore charts
When you’re living in dorm rooms, suites, or apartments on campus, it can be a hassle to keep your place neat and organized. Utilize the chore chart templates to create chore times that work around your and your roommates’ busy schedules to keep the peace and keep your place clean.
