New look for Box storage platform

On June 29, the Rutgers Box storage platform will be updated with a new Box interface and additional features. Users will not need to take any action to view or use the new interface, but they will see some visual changes after logging in to Box.

The updated Box interface provides a more simplified experience for users to navigate and organize content. The changes include:

  • improved ways to organize, access, and work with content
  • the ability for users to personalize the Rutgers Box account
  • access to all familiar features, but Box did modify the location of a few key actions, including sharing a folder or adding an item to favorites

Box also launched a new feature, Collections, that allows users to create and name private collections of content in their Rutgers Box account, find the content they need right away, and organize files and folders that they own or share. Although the content can be shared, Collections are only visible to the user and will not be shared.

The following resources can be used to help answer questions about the changes and/or view more information about the new Collections feature.

If you have additional questions about Box at Rutgers, please reach out to your department’s IT staff or contact the Office of Information Technology Help Desk.
