Leading from the cloud: Experts teach best practices for remotely managing teams

It’s hard to lead any team, let alone a team of people you only see on a screen, but there are effective strategies for remote leadership and management.

International corporations and other far-flung organizations have spent decades developing them, and LinkedIn Learning has distilled some of the most important tactics into this three-video series.

Leading at a Distance (36 minutes)
In this course, instructor Kevin Eikenberry dives into the basics of remote leadership, such as how working remotely changes interpersonal dynamics. Plus, he shares tips for getting results at a distance, building trust and setting reasonable boundaries.

Managing Virtual Teams (56 minutes)
In this course, instructor Phil Gold zeros in on the key factors that will ensure productivity, engagement, and growth. He also explains a manager’s role in building trust, removing roadblocks, nurturing connections with team members and setting clear goals.

Leading Virtual Meetings (32 minutes)
In this course, leadership and management expert Kevin Eikenberry identifies the challenges to holding a productive meeting online and shares tactics for making these meetings successful. Learn how to choose the right platform, set expectations for conduct, clarify roles, create a great agenda and more.
