Canvas, Respondus, and other IT services affected by Amazon outage

Amazon has reported that the network device issues have been resolved. Canvas, Respondus, and other IT services should be working normally now. If you have any questions or run into any other issues, please contact the OIT Help Desk.

Amazon Web Services is reporting “a significant recovery” due to actions taken to mitigate the situation. “We are continuing to closely monitor the health of the network devices and we expect to continue to make progress towards full recovery,” according to Amazon. “We still do not have an ETA for full recovery at this time.” OIT will provide updates when available.

Canvas, Respondus, and other IT services relying on Amazon Web Services (AWS) are currently experiencing issues due to an AWS outage. These services may have degraded performance, intermittent availability, or problems accessing some features. Updates will be provided as Amazon reports on progress fixing these issues.
