Issues with Outlook for Rutgers Connect

Efforts continue to show that the actions taken to mitigate Outlook issues have been effective. Microsoft will be monitoring the issue to ensure continued stability. If you encounter any issues and need assistance, please contact the OIT Help Desk.

Microsoft reports that the impact of Outlook issues has been mitigated and is continuing efforts to work with affected users to confirm the issue is resolved. Affected users may need to take action to resolve the issue:

  • Outlook client and app users should restart their client or app to apply Microsoft’s changes.
  • Outlook on the web users should refresh their sessions. If that does not mitigate the issue, users are encouraged to clear their browser cache and refresh their Outlook on the web session.

Microsoft is continuing work to identify any further actions that may need to be taken at this time.

Microsoft reports that efforts are underway to pinpoint the source of the issues with Outlook and work to develop a solution is in progress.

Microsoft is reporting that users of Outlook (both the web and desktop versions) may experience freezes or crashes due to memory utilization issues. Additional details will be provided when available.
