The Office of Information Technology’s Information Security Office (ISO) has been made aware of an active spear phishing email campaign targeting members of the Rutgers IT community. The phishing email mimics that of an Office 365/Outlook “Messages Couldn’t Be Delivered” email and contains a link that sends any user who clicks to a fake Rutgers single sign-on (SSO) authentication page. This page is designed to steal users’ credentials.

If users receive an email matching this description, they should follow the instructions for reporting to abuse@rutgers.edu outlined on this page. If users have questions regarding this information, they should contact the ISO at info_security@oit.rutgers.edu.
