The Rutgers University–New Brunswick Office of Information Technology (OIT) Help Desk has a new home in Davidson Hall, Room 172 on Busch campus.
Following a move from the Hill Center, the Help Desk’s experienced student consultants now provide service for various computing issues in the newly renovated space. Anyone within the university – including faculty and staff – can schedule appointments or receive walk-in support seven days a week during the semester.
“As technology continues to play a major role in our lives, there can never be too much access to tech support. This is why we are so excited about the Help Desk’s move to Davidson Hall,” said Ana Verma, associate director of OIT. “The one, consolidated location at Rutgers–New Brunswick offers an easily accessible option for students, faculty and staff to walk in and have all of their tech questions answered.”
Located on the north side of Busch campus off Davidson Road, the Help Desk sits in a convenient spot near the Busch Student Center and the future One-Stop Student Service Center, which will encompass cross-functional service in the areas of financial aid, student accounts, and registration. Routes A, B, and H of the university’s bus service frequent the Davidson Hall (Busch Suites) stop.
More information on the Help Desk, including regular hours and details on locations at Rutgers–Camden and Rutgers–Newark, is available on the Rutgers IT website. You can schedule an appointment through the Help Desk appointment calendar or by calling the Help Desk at 833-OIT-HELP.
With hundreds of trained student consultants, the OIT Help Desk typically answers upwards of 90,000 phone calls each year and provides tech support in thousands of walk-in sessions across Rutgers.
