Rutgers is pleased to announce the availability of Box, a popular service for storing, accessing, and sharing digital files securely. Box is free for all Rutgers students, faculty, staff, and guests.
Benefits of Box
Rutgers chose Box for its fast, simple functionality, and intuitive controls for fostering collaboration on documents and other files. As a cloud-based service, Box can be reached anywhere, anytime. Box offers the following features, among many others:
- unlimited, free online storage
- secure data transfer
- real-time editing, commenting, and sharing from any device
- necessary controls for security and compliance, including for Protected Health Information (PHI)
Why Box?
Box is the only university-endorsed storage service that is available for use by the entire Rutgers community and is certified to store restricted information.

To sign up for your free Box account or learn more, please visit:

Once your account is activated, you can download the Box app via the web on any device, including Macintosh or Windows computers and iOS or Android mobile devices.
