The Office of Advanced Research Computing (OARC) recently launched a Graduate Student Liaison program and is accepting final applications for the 2019-2020 academic year. This is an opportunity for graduate students to:
- Get recognized for the work they do using high-performance computing systems
- Participate in an interdisciplinary forum
- Build a relationship with the research computing team at Rutgers
- Contribute to their department’s knowledge base regarding computational resources
Students participating in the program can expect to spend about 20 hours of their time per academic year. During this time, students will attend two mixers, participate in OARC training opportunities, assist other students with computational resource questions, work with OARC staff members to improve their offerings, and more.
If you are interested in learning more, the inaugural meeting will be held on Monday, September 23 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. in the Rutgers CoRE building on the Busch Campus in Piscataway, room 701.
To get nominated for this program, the student should contact their graduate program director, who should forward the nomination to firstname.lastname@example.org.
