Training and Scientific Consultation
OARC works with Rutgers faculty, staff, and students to help them get the most from Amarel systems, tools, and processes. The OARC Research and Education Facilitator (REF) team is comprised of domain experts who have produced and run regular trainings on topics such as:
- Research Computing and OARC Systems
- Introduction to Linux from the Command-Line
- Managing Software and Data on OARC Systems
- Machine Learning
- Cloud 101
- Computational Genomics (a Multi-day workshop)
- Information Security for Research
The OARC REF team can help users improve their data management and scientific computation workflow.
New workshops are always under development and are typically offered on all campuses. See our calendar for current offerings and links to registration. Many can be accessed in our library of training videos below.
OARC also partners with Rutgers Libraries to bring you language and application-based trainings such as R, Python, and others.
If you are interested in scheduling a customized training for your lab or department, or if you want to work with an OARC REF team member on a grant proposal or facilitation, please contact us.
