One-Time SMS passcode for Duo


You may choose to use a one-time code at times when you don't have access to your authentication devices. Please be aware that this method is associated with cost to the university, and it is only recommended to be used as a backup method only.

  1. Choose the Send text message passcode option on the Duo prompt.
  2. When you land on the text message page, it will show that a text message was just sent to you with a passcode. When you receive the message, enter that passcode into the space provided and click Verify.

  3. If you did not receive the code or the code does not work, please select Send a new passcode.
  4. A new passcode will be sent to your smart device.

Note: These are one-time use codes which become invalid once used. If you select Send a new passcode multiple times, only the most recent passcode will remain valid.
