How can I use two-step login with Duo when there is no network or cellular service available?

In the absence of Wi-Fi, network or cellular connectivity, the push and call method will not work, but your device will continue to generate Duo passcodes. Alternatively you can also use a hardware token. To use a mobile passcode, if you have previously setup the Duo app on your mobile device, follow the instructions below.

  1. When signing into a Rutgers service and the Duo prompt appears, if it is not already prompting for a passcode, select Other options.

  2. On the list of other available options to log in select Use Duo Mobile passcode
