Additional free software available for remote use

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) has been working with vendors to get students, faculty, and staff the software they need to work effectively from home in response to COVID-19. The University Software Portal offers a wide array of software for download. Here is a list of products that are newly available for free or have temporary free licenses.

Our Virtual Computer Labs contain the PC versions of dozens of programs, including Maple, SPSS Statistics Premium w/Amos, SAS, and JMP Pro 15.

 

Stata MP2 V16
Stata is statistical software that enables users to analyze, manage, and produce graphical visualizations of data. It is primarily used to examine data patterns by researchers in the fields of economics, biomedicine, and political science.

Temporary free license for faculty, staff and students on personal equipment
Expires: August 31, 2020

Instructions: Faculty and students will create a 0-dollar order to download software, and activation information will be listed in the My Software section of the portal after checkout is complete.

Microsoft Azure Dev Tools for Teaching (ADTT)
These tools include Access, Project, and Visio. Microsoft Access is an information management tool that helps you store information for reference, reporting, and analysis. Microsoft Project is project management software. Microsoft Visio is software for drawing a variety of diagrams, including flowcharts, org charts, building plans, data flow diagrams, and more.
