How to create a subsite (Super Admin access required)<\/h1>\n\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

On the upper left of your WordPress dashboard, select Network Admin<\/strong>\u00a0–>\u00a0Duplication
\n\"\"<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n

Original site to copy <\/strong>field should be \u201cit.rutgers.edu\/service-template\u201d<\/p>\n

New Site \u2013 Address <\/strong>field should match the name of your subsite. For example, if your subsite\u2019s name is \u201cMicrosoft Sharepoint Online,\u201d then your url should be it.rutgers.edu\/microsoft-sharepoint-online<\/p>\n

New Site \u2013 Title <\/strong>field should be the name of your subsite<\/p>\n

New Site \u2013 Admin Email<\/strong> should be Rich Sese’s email address.<\/p>\n

Then select Duplicate.
\n***IMPORTANT*** Do not click on Duplicate more than once or this can cause database corruption. When the subsite has been created you will see a notification towards the top of your screen. If you have any issue, please contact Richard Sese.<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n

Update the breadcrumb in the SEO section of the dashboard under Yoast SEO<\/strong> ><\/strong> Settings > Advanced > Breadcrumbs. <\/strong>Update the “Anchor Text for the Homepage<\/strong>” field to update the breadcrumb with the site’s title.<\/p>\n

In order for Ninja forms submissions to function properly and flow to the designated people, apply the following settings in the WP Mail SMTP<\/strong> section of the subsite’s dashboard.<\/p>\n

  1. From Email:\u00a0<\/strong>wcs-mail-service@oit.rutgers.edu<\/li>\n
  2. Force\u00a0From Email: <\/strong>Check the box<\/li>\n
  3. From Name:\u00a0<\/strong>Rutgers IT Mail Service<\/li>\n
  4. Force From Name: <\/strong>Check the box<\/li>\n
  5. SMTP Host:<\/strong>\u00a0smtp.rutgers.edu<\/li>\n
  6. Encryption<\/strong>: TLS<\/li>\n
  7. SMTP Port<\/strong>: 587<\/li>\n
  8. Authentication: <\/strong>ON<\/li>\n
  9. SMTP Username:<\/strong> OITConst<\/li>\n
  10. SMTP Password<\/strong>: Contact Rich Sese or Anita DeSimone<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
