How to install Microsoft Office for faculty/staff


  1. To access this service, faculty and staff must log into their Rutgers Connect account.
  2. After logging in, click the app switcher icon in the top left.

  3. Click the link for Microsoft 365 -> to view all apps.

  4. Click on Install Apps located on the upper right-hand side of the page.

  5. Choose the Microsoft 365 apps option which will cause a prompt to pop up that will provide directions on how to finishing downloading, installing, and activating Office.
  6. (Optional) If you select Other Install Options you will be able to view additional software available to you with your Rutgers Connect license.
    • Please note that it is suggested to not have multiple versions of Microsoft Office running on your device. Please uninstall previous versions of Office before attempting to download the latest version.
