How to access LinkedIn Learning when you have a LinkedIn account

Connecting your LinkedIn Learning account to your LinkedIn profile

All LinkedIn Learning users have the option to connect a LinkedIn profile to your LinkedIn Learning account. Connecting your LinkedIn profile will allow for a more personalized learning experience. You will receive course recommendations that are more tailored to your needs based on your professional experience, job title, skills, and industry background listed on your LinkedIn profile. Additionally, you can add any certificates of completion to the certificate section of your LinkedIn profile to showcase your skills.

LinkedIn Learning offers step-by-step instructions on how to connect your LinkedIn Learning account to your LinkedIn profile. If you do not have a LinkedIn profile, you can easily create one through the LinkedIn website.

Logging in when you have a Linked account

A linked account requires users to authenticate twice - with your Rutgers NetID login and password, and with your LinkedIn login and password - each time you access LinkedIn Learning.

If you have previously logged in to LinkedIn on your current device, you may not be prompted to log in again, but if you are logging in from a new device or browser you will need to log in with both. If you need to reset your NetID password, you may do so at the NetID Forgotten Password page. If you need to reset your LinkedIn password, you may do so at the LinkedIn Reset Password page.

If you have previously linked your accounts and wish to unlink them, please contact software@rutgers.edu.
