This page provides instructions on how to clear cache and cookies on MacOS for the following browsers:
Google Chrome
- Open Google Chrome.
- In the top right corner of the window, click menu.
- In the drop-down menu, hover over More tools then select Clear browsing data.
- On the following screen, check the boxes next to “Cookies and other site data” and “Cached images and files.”
- Select All time from the drop-down menu.
- Click Clear data.
Mozilla Firefox
- Open Mozilla Firefox.
- Click menu in the top right corner of the window.
- In the drop-down menu, select History, then Clear Recent History...
- In the window that appears, click the arrow next to "Details."
- Check the boxes next to “Cookies” and “Cache” (make sure nothing you want to keep is checked).
- At the top of the window, click the drop-down menu next to “Time range to clear” and select the desired time range
Note: select Everything from the drop-down menu to clear all cache and cookies stored on Firefox.
- Click the Clear Now.
Safari
- Open Safari.
- In the top menu, navigate to Safari then Preferences.
- Click Privacy.
- Click Manage Website Data...
- At the bottom of the list that appears, click Remove All.
Alternatively, you can select individual sites from the list to delete data for and click Remove for each one.
- Confirm the deletion.
