Clearing cache and cookies on MacOS


This page provides instructions on how to clear cache and cookies on MacOS for the following browsers:

Google Chrome

  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. In the top right corner of the window, click menu.
  3. In the drop-down menu, hover over More tools then select Clear browsing data.

  4. On the following screen, check the boxes next to “Cookies and other site data” and “Cached images and files.”

  5. Select All time from the drop-down menu.

  6. Click Clear data.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Open Mozilla Firefox.
  2. Click menu in the top right corner of the window.
  3. In the drop-down menu, select History, then Clear Recent History...

  4. In the window that appears, click the arrow next to "Details."

  5. Check the boxes next to “Cookies” and “Cache” (make sure nothing you want to keep is checked).

  6. At the top of the window, click the drop-down menu next to “Time range to clear” and select the desired time range

    Note: select Everything from the drop-down menu to clear all cache and cookies stored on Firefox.

  7. Click the Clear Now.

Safari

  1. Open Safari.
  2. In the top menu, navigate to Safari then Preferences.

  3. Click Privacy.

  4. Click Manage Website Data...

  5. At the bottom of the list that appears, click Remove All.

    Alternatively, you can select individual sites from the list to delete data for and click Remove for each one.

  6. Confirm the deletion.
