Data Loss Prevention (DLP) is a cybersecurity tool and strategy used to detect and prevent unauthorized access, sharing, or transmission of sensitive organizational data.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n <\/section>\n\n\n

The \u00a0Information Security Office offers Data Loss Prevention (DLP) services to departments, schools and units that manage data classified as\u00a0Critical<\/strong>,\u00a0Restricted<\/strong>\u00a0and\/or\u00a0Internal<\/strong>\u00a0under the\u00a070.1.2-Information Classification Policy<\/a>. These tools prevent certain types of data, such as Personal Health Information, Confidential information, and other proprietary Rutgers information, from being accessed or removed from systems that house the data.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n \n <\/div>\n\n
