Resolved

December 12, 2020 7:22 am

The emergency maintenance scheduled for this morning, December 12, has been completed successfully. IT services are operating normally.

Update

December 11, 2020 5:29 pm

Emergency maintenance work from 5:30-8 a.m. tomorrow, December 12, may disrupt NetID logins and may disrupt or degrade applications that are hosted on campus, including the Rutgers VPN. VPN users and those who are on campus may also have short-term difficulty reaching internet services. NetID Password Management may also be unavailable. OIT will provide updates as they become available.

Update

December 8, 2020 7:20 pm

OIT has implemented a temporary fix for the network issues reported earlier today. Users should now be able to access external websites from the Rutgers network and the Rutgers VPN.

Investigating

December 8, 2020 4:26 pm

Network issues caused by a cooling problem at the Broad Street colocation facility in Philadelphia are preventing users at Rutgers locations, as well as Rutgers VPN users anywhere, from accessing external websites. The network issues are also causing issues with logging into services and websites with a NetID. OIT is investigating the network issues and will provide updates as they become available.
