And today, Rutgers is still breaking ground in the AI field. Rutgers centers, institutes, and other initiatives are dedicated to innovation in artificial intelligence in fields from climate science to drug development\u2014and beyond.<\/p>\n<\/div><!-- f--field Researchers are working to identify moral challenges and develop policy strategies to foster responsible technologies that benefit humanity and the environment.<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/site\/digihumanlab\/\"><strong><u>Art and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory<\/u><\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n<p>The Art and Artificial Intelligence (AAI) Laboratory at Rutgers\u2013New Brunswick is conducting research on the intersection between the two disciplines. The lab\u2019s goal is to push the envelope of computer vision and AI by investigating perceptual and cognitive tasks related to human creativity. Its focus is on developing AI and computer vision algorithms in the domain of art.<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aha.org\/stories\/2025-09-26-rwjbarnabas-health-rutgers-health-new-jersey-ai-center-excellence-mindful-advancement-safer-smarter-care\"><strong> <u>Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence<\/u><\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n<p>The Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence is a RWJBarnabas Health and Rutgers Health initiative dedicated to the responsible development and integration of artificial intelligence in healthcare. The center serves as a laboratory where innovation is advanced mindfully\u2014ensuring AI tools are safe, effective, and aligned with real-world needs.<!--\n\n\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/radcollaboratory.rutgers.edu\/\"><strong> <u>Rutgers Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Collaboratory<\/u><\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n\n\nThe Rutgers Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (RAD) Collaboratory serves as a hub for data science, artificial intelligence, student programming, and community engagement. This is just one of the many current efforts within the institute, which serves as a hub for multidisciplinary and translational research focused on improving population health.<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/iqb.rutgers.edu\/\"><strong> <u>Institute for Quantitative Biomedicine<\/u><\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n<p>The Institute for Quantitative Biomedicine (IQB) at Rutgers\u2013New Brunswick fosters interdisciplinary research and training that applies computational and data-driven approaches to biological and medical challenges, advancing quantitative methods in biomedicine.<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/teaching.rutgers.edu\/\"><strong><u>Institute for Teaching, Innovation, and Inclusive Pedagogy<\/u><\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n<p>The Institute for Teaching, Innovation, and Inclusive Pedagogy (TIIP) at Rutgers\u2013New Brunswick serves as a hub for advancing innovative, student-centered instruction. RIIPL faculty, fellows, visiting scholars, and students engage in research, learning, and teaching on the legal and governance structures around information.<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/seqam.rutgers.edu\/\"><strong><u>Sequence Analysis and Modeling Lab<\/u><\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n<p>The Sequence Analysis and Modeling (SEQAM) Lab at Rutgers\u2013New Brunswick develops computational methods for analyzing complex sequential and multimodal data, with applications in areas such as time-series analysis and biomedical data modeling.<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/winlab.rutgers.edu\/\"><strong><u>Wireless Information Network Laboratory<\/u><\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n<p>Wireless Information Network Laboratory (WINLAB) has a <a href=\"https:\/\/winlab.rutgers.edu\/research-summary\/\">research portfolio<\/a> spanning a number of disciplines, with several projects focusing on <a href=\"https:\/\/winlab.rutgers.edu\/stairwai-to-cosmos-nsf-funds-ai-enhancements-to-cosmos-testbed\/\">machine learning and AI<\/a>.
