Free data management tool available for Rutgers researchers

Rutgers University is listed in DMPTool, an open source data management plan tool recommended by the National Science Foundation (NSF), National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), and other large funding agencies who require such plans for award proposals.

About DMPTool
The DMPTool can assist you with:

  • creating ready-to-use data management plans for specific funding agencies
  • meeting funder requirements for data management plans
  • step-by-step instructions and guidance when building your data management plan
  • resources and services available at your institution to help fulfill the data management requirements of your grant

How to access the DMPTool
Any Rutgers community member can sign in to the DMPTool using institutional credentials (NetID and password). Choose the Sign In button on the top right and select “Option 1: Institution affiliated with DMPTool.”
